Great for LOGO DESIGN! I paid $299 for the design contest, and felt like it was VERY worth it!
Contest ran for 1 week, and I got 177 different designs submitted from designers all over the world (loved getting that diverse perspective)!
At the beginning of the contest, I only had a vague idea of what I wanted our logo to be, but seeing the different designs come in every day helped to clarify what I wanted. I definitely noticed trends of the type of designs that came in, and I loved that throughout the contest I was able to send out requests for changes or ask for different concepts, from all the designers or directly to individual ones. (i.e. "Would love to see designs that incorporate a city skyline" or "Could you change the font size to larger, and the image smaller."). I definitely suggest you stay active during the contest, making comments, and asking for stuff. Being able to SEE all the designs, definitely helped me flesh out what I wanted in the end.
Also, after you choose a winning design, you get to work with the designer directly for a week to make minor tweaks so you can get exactly what you want. Hint: Be mindful that the designers are in different time zones all over the world (which you see next to their name), so be sure to allow them enough time to make changes.
WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE, and I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!
